Meditating

This week's meditative exercise is proving a bit irksome at the moment.  I close my eyes to picture the Sacred Grove, but lo, I find myself in the back yard of my father's home, amidst the overgrowth of trees and plants, and debris of recent rain and last year's leaves.  There is no peace, only a feeling of neglect, a feeling of urgency to tend to, prune and cultivate.  There are probably several reasons why this is what comes to my mind rather than a peaceful clearing in a grove of trees filled with the song of birds and the blossoms of Spring. From the top of my head I can think of several:  I have been neglecting my spirituality for a long time and need to take better care to nurture it.  I have been neglecting my connection to nature and my duty to be vigilant consumerism practices.
